Softly Does It

Yttres Sand, Lofoten, Norway

I have uploaded this extra large just so you could view the details that get lost at the smaller size. One of my absolute favourite shots from the Lofoten Islands and variations there in, is this one featuring snow bent and oxygen starved grasses at the top of Yttres sand beach near Fredvang. The patterns and colouring and above all the softness reminded me of fur from some exotic pedigree pampered pussy cat. I was absolutely enamoured with it's beauty and waited until twilight and a vague pink glow hung over the snow covered peaks, whereat the whole placed glowed softly.

NEW!! Photographic workshops and masterclasses and fine art cards are now available at TRANSIENT LIGHT

The shape of the river and composition are excellent and together with the qualities of texture and colour you refer to - this is a great image
