Elgol is always a highly productive place for pictures it is a fabulous beach but the backdrop is even more remarkable with the toothy grimace of the Cuillin ridge beyond the sea loch. I got in close and low to a string of coloured stones that naturally curved towards the ridge of mountains and waited for a show of colour in the sky. for a few seconds there was a crimson smear of unbelievable intensity and depth that fought its way through the clouds.
