Above and Beyond

Rannoch Moor, Glencoe, Scotland

Even though you place yourself in one of the finest locations possible, it is rare that light and circumstance coincide with such magnificent synergy as it did on this wonderful winter morning. Not a breath of air disturbed the surface of the loch and a fine cloud pattern had developed above the snow capped Blackmount. What happened next was above and beyond my wildest aspirations. The bracken and red deer grass of the mountain slopes flared with staggering intensity in a blast of caramel coloured dawn sunlight.

NEW!! Photographic workshops and masterclasses and fine art cards are now available at TRANSIENT LIGHT

Hi Tinker B this is the view to the Blackmount straight over the Loch n'achlaise. The Buachaille would be at the top of the glen to the extreme right of this view.

Super picture Ian, those reflections are so clear - is the Buachaille to the left?
