Luskentyre Bay is an enormous sandy estuary on the west coast of Harris. It is a colossal vast expanse of open space and prone to some quite gorgeous Atlantic light flooding in from the west. As sunset approached so did a persistent storm front that threatened to annihalate it. At one stage the sky turned purple and pink and a cloudburst split far out to sea. For the briefest of moments the sun made a guest appearance in the form of an eliptical slot in the sky and it scanned the coast for all the world as though it were the eye of Mordor. Spooky and surreal.
