This broken tree at the edge of Loch A Chroisg is said to have been struck by lightning. I personally suspect the damage is more due to the savage winter frost and thaw cycles that this sheltered wee loch experiences. I can never resist photographing it and it always seems to respond best to flat morning light. When I arrived the reflections were excellent but soon after I set up the water became rippled and uninteresting over part of the surface. I was about to pack up when it occurred to me to make a very long exposure to blur the water movement. The results are very pleasing to me.
