Even on a grey winters day this must be a wonderful position to site a remote highland cottage but finding one freshly painted in white with a brilliant red roof, proved picture postcard perfect and an irresistable photo opportunity. The sun was just off axis and with careful shielding of the lens I was able to make the most of this almost backlit scene the sun causing the verdant green grass to glow enthusiastically beneath a suitably interesting sky.
