Mellon Meander

Mellon Udrigle, Laide, Scotland

A little peat stream carves a new route towards the sea through the red sands of Mellon Udrigle. It was a cold damp rainy morning well before a sunrise that point blank refused to happen. Never-the-less I find the light to be both subtle and full of enchantment, perfectly in keeping with one of Scotlands very finest beaches.

Love the light here, and the shutter speed is perfect...it almost seems like the ocean is an extension of the sand beach

Nicely done with a clear foreground, midground and background. There is some added visual tension in choosing a vertical format in contrast to a landscape/horizontal format scene.
