The Gloaming

Rannoch Moor, Glencoe, Scotland.

On the face of it this was not the best of days to be exploring the soggy peat bogs of Rannoch moor. However it is this same soft shadowless light that so intensifies and saturates existing colours and its something that Velvia film responds to magnificently easily managing the low contrast levels of a dull day. The result is a surprisingly punchy image.
