Original 35mm film slide copied with SD14. The lens used was 105Ex macro and 3 images were taken at closest focal point and stitched together. This digital copy was then cleaned up to remove 'film noise' using minimal settings using Noiseware Professional. No other post processing except as described. When compared to a more traditional scan of the same slide the SD14 with the Foveon sensor revealed more detail, better colour rendition with fewer artifacts and the unique characteristics of the Foveon sensor ensured sharp detail without any requirement for USM.
