My camera was working at the limits of its capability taking the underground shots in low light without flash – 1000 – 1250 ISO and slow exposures. I was using a vibration reduction lens on my camera and in some cases a mono-pod to minimise camera shake. Guides kept the large crowds moving quickly. So I had little time to capture the shots. Under the circumstances, I am happy with the images but they are a poor substitute for the real experience. Some of the caves were huge – about the size of the largest indoor stadium or cathedral.
