碧潭因河岸寬廣，水色澄碧、平靜如潭而得其名，
碧潭吊橋長約200公尺，建於民國26年初，
橫跨碧潭之水上，佇立於碧潭兩岸，
此有如長虹懸空跨越兩岸，成為本地主要特色標誌。
