Troubled waters

I was making pasta for dinner; and, as always, poured some olive oil onto the water I was going to boil the pasta in...
(the theory being that, as each piece of pasta slides through the oil into the water, it gets itself its very own non-stick coating...).

I found the different hues the oil took on in overcast daylight, the main kitchen lighting, and just the two small bulbs in the cooker hood, quite hypnotic...!
And the bubbles -- and the patterns they made, as they circulated in the pan -- reminded me of little solar systems, little galaxies, interacting....
(These are just resized, with a little contrast added... -- nothing else... -- and, as always, nowt taken out, either....)

These rich tones are beautiful. At first, I thought it was a shining percussion musical instrument.
Cooking pasta with olive oil, yes!

I think it's great, the different ideas, that we come up with to create a photograph. And you have come up with a very good one with some great abstracts. Well Done! (v)

I must have missed this one. The colours are wonderful. This is some great abstract photography. Very well seen.
