St Agnes' Church

This is the only thatched church on the Isle of Wight, and one of only eight remaining thatched churches in the British Isles
-- and it looks much older than it really is. Much of the building material was recovered from a derelict old farmhouse,
to replace the former mission church or 'iron room' that stood nearby. The land was given by the Tennyson family.
