September 17, 2005: Female Common Green Darner

Windsor, ON Canada

Captured during the Holiday Beach "Festival of Hawks."
We were hanging with fellow photog Brad ( http://www.pbase.com/bdjhsll0304/in_the_wild )
He pointed out this little lady so I snapped off a few.
I wish I would have had the Canon 180mm/L macro that I'm picking up in a couple of weeks!
Sharon had my 90mm macro lens on her camera.
I couldn't believe the colours on this dragon-lady!

The focus and detail are excellent. The colors that I see are emerald green, rose and a wonderful blue shading-- super shot.
