In Washington Square Village Faculty Housing Complex with dogwood, crab apple, pine, red bud, apple, azalea, ivy & juniper - scheduled to be destroyed, along with several other treasured gardens, by the NYU2031 Expansion Plan to build skyscrapers here in the heart of historic Greenwich Village. Unfortunately many trees & bushes are nearly dead or have died and not been replaced. I really miss a dogwood, many hawthorn trees, rose bushes, rhododendron & azalea bushes. People say NYU is not going to replace them because they expect it will all be destroyed for the NYU2031 skyscrapers.
For more information about this destructive & environmentally unsound plan see http://www.pbase.com/hjsteed/laguardia_place_community_garden
Also please consider support for the NYU faculty members to help pay for legal expenses in preventing this NYU2031 Expansion Plan from being executed.
