If you view this picture at original size, you can see the lights of Timberline Lodge sitting at an elevation of 5,960 feet (1,817 m) and above that to the left are the lights of the snow groomers at work making the slopes skiable for the next day. The lodge is 7 miles north of where I took this picture. To give a perspective of how tall this mountain is, the highest lights are the snow groomers working at about 7,000 feet elevation and the summit of this mountain is another 5,000 plus feet above that!
