A macro comparison made from a Sony V3, close-up lenses (+1,+2,+4 stacked), Raynox DCR-250 and a 50mm SLR lens reversed. No lens means without any external lenses. +1, +3 and +7 are the stacked close-up lenses. The 50mm lens is a Minolta 50mm f1.4 normal lens mounted with a macro coupler (58mm - 55mm).
Hope this helps in comparing the different relative magnifications for the V3. All shots were hand held so some are less than sharp due to hand shake or missed manual focus(.1m). This was not a comparison of DOF, but the 50mm lens was VERY shallow.

All shots are full frame, no cropping and no sharpening. The camera was set to -sharpen.
