This tree stands witness to the henious crimes committed here 178 years ago.
This innocent tree was witness and accessory to the cruelties meeted out to
the Kashmiri freedom fighters of Mang in 1832 and later. The perpetrators long
gone, the tree still stands weeping the wrongs committed on its body.
