Charging Tuskless Elephant

During our walking safari we were charged by this elephant. This was my last photo before the ranger's warning shot scared it off. The lack of tusks is a genetic variation that grants a significant survival advantage to these elephants: poachers don't kill them. Soon, they may be the most common elephants seen in the wild. Tuskless elephants are significantly more aggressive than their normal counterparts, possibly because they feel less secure.

I like yours Hal. Yours conveys a bit more intent. My thoughts/intent at that point was wondering who was the slowest in the group :) Best J
