Mt. Tom Micro-burst Devastation

A microburst in the Fall of 2014 ran alongside Mt. Tom for nearly two miles. At its worst, it stripped away about 1/2 the vertical of the mountain; at one end that narrowed to about 100 yards, narrowly missing two restaurants on top of the hill by about 50 yards. Hard to capture in photos, but the mountain looks like those photos of the Russian forst laid down by the meteor blast in 1910.
