If this is a barn owl then I've seen one flying at night in my backyard. I was taking my Chihuahua outside. Luckily I was carrying her though because that owl swooped down and if I let my dog down she might've become a meal. ;(

I'm serious! Somehow we got one inside our house! Possibly down the chimney! It was exquisite! I live in Escondido near the Wild Animal Park.

Seen one in flight at night. It was flying over the 163 Balboa Park section of it.
