Gorgeous shot. Yesterday was a spectacular day in SoCal. Poor us. (Snicker, snicker.) Of course, then we get the earthquakes, floods and fires, which help to balance it all out.

Wow, what incredible detail! So that's what the 10D can do ;). The DOF is really nice. I like how the mist creates a blue haze in the distance. I can hear those waves crashing, feel to cool mist and smell the salty air. Outstanding photo.

While this is a great picture, Herb, and a great caption, let us not forget that soon, we will have to wear wind breakers to ward off the bitter winter chill that characterizes Southern California. There is even the possibility that soon, rain will fall. It isn't easy getting through a winter in these parts, but it can be done with a little patience and lots of perseverence. I like this for it's sheer enormity. At first I thought the little specks were seagulls and after looking closer it turns out they are, for the most part, people. This is huge!
