It's Good Friday today,
or Goede Vrijdag, or Charfreitag, or 'he hagia kai megale paraskeue', or Holy Friday.
It's the anniversary of the crucifixion of Jesus.
Maybe they'll call it Mel Gibson Day in a few years...
Most humans in my country have a holiday. Not my human.
And not the flower humans either.
Every year on Good Friday there's a real big flowers and plants market
in the streets of Groningen city, close to my town.
They say it's the biggest flower market in Europe.
The whole city center looks like a nursery.
And there'll be two or three hundred thousand visitors, many of them from Germany.
They all want plants.
So I'm staying right here today, away from the crowds.
Have a Good Friday!
