Joop's Dog Log - Thursday Jan 01

Temperature has dropped, and the first morning of 2004 was supposed to bring us snow,
but we didn`t get any. Weathermen are humans too of course...
Maybe later.
I`m really glad the big bangs in my street have stopped.
Jeez, if I`d have wanted explosions all the time I`d have gone to Iraq or Israel.
Talk about those countries. How can there be peace in 2004 with those guys over there?
If they don`t change they`re all going to the dogs.
Maybe they should.
Happy New Year everybody!

A wonderful year 2004 to you, Joop, & your humans. Joop 2004 - still the greatest dog in the whole wide world!

Anyone ever mention you have a great posterior, Joop? Your human takes fine portraits of you. And I agree with you Henk, a year without anyone on the planet firing a gun would be a very fine miracle.

Yup, the word on the street is right, for once. Definitely a very cute ass.

Where are your furry friends? Don`t they live in that field?

Is this not the same area where those enormous horses were. Maybe their humans finally took them into a nice warm barn. No snow...well, join us here for a relatively snowless winter. There`s still hope though. Last night I heard all the fireworks in my area and I thought about you. I`m glad it stopped, too. However, they start again early, about April, for the 4th of July...which you don`t have in your country. Peace...yes that would be wonderful...but you know humans, Joop, their struggle for power seems neverending. Think of when you see another male dog...that`s kind of how many humans are with each other. Something about the DNA maybe. Anyway, I am assuming you are better and your stomach thing has cleared up. I don`t like to think of a beautiful dog such as you suffering with any ailment.
Happy New Year. I wanted to tell your human something funny I noticed. He spells "says" as in "the man says hello" as "sais". It is the absolute only mistake I have ever seen in is otherwise impecible (better than mine) English syntax and spelling. Is the Dutch word for "says" "sais" by any chance. Isn`t that a funny thing. I bet you have corrected that spelling about 20 times, Joop, but you know humans.....

Hello Joop, we are late today, but we sticked together with our humans and did it like John and Yoko did decades ago...all we are saying, is give peace a chance.....we are also thinking of the poor people in Iran suffering from that earthquake: our Bosslady`s main clients are living in Iran/Teheran and the company`s representative too...hope that those very rich bosses will give some of their money to help the people without a home.

Great photo. We had many fireworks at my house and we had a big fight with us dogs. Midnight came out with several puncture wounds and had to go the emergency vet. Tomorrow he has to go to our regular vet and get more stiches. I am afraid we lost our heads. I will post some photos of the sad feat later.

Well said, Joop! At least dogs just get to it, fight and then it`s over. No terrorist dogs! No sneaky, politician dogs that lie and cheat, all to put cookies in their already overflowing cookie jars. Nope, dogs have it figured out, all right. Hey, maybe we should elect dogs! Gee, this could be a groundswell movement for all time! Joop? Would you consider the Presidency? Or running for Prime Minister? What do you say, fotologgers, let`s start changing the world right here, right now, on January first, two thousand and four! Go, Joop!!!

May not have had any snow, but I bet your little tootsies were cold by the time you were finished with your walk! I don`t know about them going to the dogs, isn`t that a little insulting to dogs??? Maybe we should toss them a few cookies!
