Thistle

Westerville, Ohio

A thistle, with its bright crown, is covered with dew and backlit
by the sun breaking through the early morning fog. The thistle
was in a field at Sharon Woods Metro Park near Columbus, Ohio.

This is really beautiful and evocative image, Pat! I love your use of shallow DOF which produces a deliciously sensuous background blur/bokeh. Compositionally strong, with the florals running gracefully up the diagonal; good perspective; Ravishing but natural colour; nice tones. Outstanding! Congratulations. Voted !!
