Spring Visit to the National Arboretum

I finished work early, and it was a beautiful, albeit hot, day, so we decided to drive up to the National Arboretum, in northeast DC. The arboretum comprises 446 acres of natural beauty and is a wonderful place to visit any time of the year, but especially in spring, when their dogwoods and large azalea collection are in bloom. Unlike past years, this was a relatively quick visit, but it was so pleasant without the weekend traffic and crowds.
