Tree removal operation

Tree specialists came the other day to remove a huge tree that had been uprooted in the thunderstorm and fallen on the first two houses on the corner of our block (see below picture). Their crane, the tallest I have ever seen anywhere, is seen here lifting one section of the tree to be put into a nearby woodchipper.

Although there was mass tree destruction, DC was soooo lucky that houses weren't flattened and lives lost. But wow what a severe weather event for the Mid Atlantic. Looks like they brought in the high-rise building equipment for cleanup.

They brought the proper equipment in looks the boom is close to 100 feet.
