Another disaster on our block

The front door of the red brick house was blocked by the fallen tree, and a window next to it was broken and is now boarded up. Nobody has come yet from the city to remove the tree, whereas a tree that fell on another house on our block (second picture in this gallery) was taken out by tree specialists this morning. What an impressive operation (pictures to follow).

Sad scene. The city removes trees??? Here, it is up to property owners to clean up storm damage. So sad to see all these big old trees broken off and uprooted. Poor homeowners, too!!!

All that mess was nature's way to say eh, I'm here! But here in Quebec City, the city is cutting down BIG trees in the center of town that have been there forever ... so that a subway can be built. People are enraged with that, people want trees on their street, no parking lots! As for the trees that have fallen in your city, man, they were almost (if not more) 100 years old, so sad to see ...
