Queenie surveys Lincoln Park, decides to go home

Tim said she just did her business, then turned around and started to march home. She doesn’t like the ice that now covers everything here, nor does anybody else, for that matter. It’s treacherous to walk outside and extremely difficult to adequately shovel the sidewalks in front of our houses, as we’re required to do by the DC government, to say nothing about how hard it is to clear our outdoor stairs. It would be far easier if it was snow on the ground, but it isn’t — it’s very hard and slippery ice.

She's making a good choice to head back to the warmth and comfort of her home.

Poor Queenie ! The ice is difficult to deal with for both man and dog.

A brave start, a cold reality check, and a firm decision that home is the better option - your fabulous image says it all.....V

Poor Queenie and you too having to deal with ice. Fluffy snow but lots of it has been our January.

Be careful out there. I can sense the trepidation. It must hurt her paws. V

Ice is the worst!!! Tell Tim to be very careful when going out with queenie. Nice photo of her navigating the terrain.

She definitely doesn't look too enthusiastic. Good decision to go home.

Your caption made me laugh. Our dogs aren't too thrilled to be out these days either!

Queenie made the right decision Helen…we have the same here…fresh snow yesterday on top of all the ice covered sidewalks and well everywhere…treacherous indeed…have done a few flying dances this week and just managed to balance and not fall over…BV

Queenie looks as if she going trekking in the Arctic. Slippery conditions are the worst. V
