Gobiconodon

Gobiconodon may have been some of the first mammals to hunt other vertebrates, perhaps including small or young dinosaurs. They lived in what is now eastern Asia, Europe and the western United States. The model was made with driftwood, honeysuckle twigs, pine cone scales, palm fiber and various kinds of fruits.

Taken at the US Botanic Garden’s annual holiday display, this year titled ‘Season’s Greenings: Dino-Mite!’. Model trains run on several tracks around the exhibit area.
