Repenomamus

Repenomamus was one of the largest mammals during dinosaur times and lived in what is now northern China. It was a carnivore, and this one is seen with a small dinosaur in its mouth. The model is made with acorns, Harry Lauder’s walking stick, driftwood, baobab fruit, palm fiber, China-fir leaves, silver ragwort leaves and assorted grasses.

Taken at the US Botanic Garden’s annual holiday display, this year titled ‘Season’s Greenings: Dino-Mite!’. Model trains run on several tracks around the exhibit area.
