Overturned

Tim and Queenie came across this overturned urn in Lincoln Park this morning — no idea how it happened or if it was vandalism or an accident.

Members of our Lincoln Park community volunteer to plant and tend to 17 urns spread around the park to beautify the area. This urn, cared for by Mary, the treat lady, beloved by dogs who frequent the park, was knocked over by unknown parties last night. My next-door neighbor called US Park Police to report the incident, and hopefully the US Park Service can put it back together.

Fun doggy mural, posted earlier:

What a shame. I never understood the point of vandalism. It looks heavy so I bet it wasn't by accident.

That stinks! That urn did nothing to anyone. Hopefully someone's security camera captured what happened.

Hard to guess. It might have been recorded by a surveillance camera. I hope so. ~VVV~.

I think I prefer graffiti to vandalism like this.

If it is vandalism, shame on whoever did that. It is heartwarming to think that volunteers plant and tend these lovely urns and I hope this one can be repaired. V
