This is the only red dogwood I’ve seen on Capitol Hill, with most of them being white or light pink. I posted a shot of it the other day (see previous picture) but couldn’t resist stopping again while out with Queenie to try to get a closeup of some of the blossoms. Queenie was unimpressed and just wanted to get moving.
