Water on your doorstep

I can’t help but wonder how much water gets into the houses on the canals.

Best to view in "Original" because other versions resized by PBase are decidedly unsharp.

Pop-ups on the canal, posted earlier:

Apple iPhone 13 Pro
1/100s f/2.8 at 9.0mm iso40 full exif

other sizes: small medium large original auto

I wouldn't want to be a sleepwalker and open that door in the middle of the night. V

Constant wet basement problems?
Hank Vander Velde24-Nov-2022 20:13
Nice image. Sure must be damp in those homes.
Richard Chu24-Nov-2022 19:48
For sure I don't want to stay in a house by a canal. A clear and sharp image! V

Water at my door is not a welcome sight, but in Venice of course...

for sure there is a threat lapping at the door....foam furniture that floats might be a good choice..

Amazing that the buildings survive. V

I wonder if anything is below the waterline inside those buildings. That is wild. It looks stormy too. V
carabias24-Nov-2022 14:28
It also looks like land subsidence. Excellent documentary capture. V

A nice picture but I think the resident doesn't like it.

This might be how a lot of coastal areas look in 50 years, and Venetians might have a lot more water in their homes.
François Fauchard24-Nov-2022 10:48
The water level is impressive. Good shot. V
