Whenever we get home after around 3:30 p.m. (and this was taken at almost 5), we know we’re going to be in trouble with Sahraa, who starts yelling at us because she wants to eat and go out for her walk. I’m not exaggerating about her yelling – she’s very adept at conveying what she wants quite emotionally because we aren’t quick enough to do her bidding. We are subjected to her verbal displays for a number of things, and as her impatience grows, so do her outbursts, which can also be excitement about going for a walk (meaning Hurry up, let’s go!). I remember a while ago our next-door neighbor went outside to her porch because she heard Sahraa screaming at our kitchen door and she thought Sahraa was deathly ill or had had an accident. In fact, she just wanted to come inside.
