Lamp post at the historic Howard Theatre

I found a light I hadn’t photographed when I created this gallery from 2008 to 2010!

The Howard Theatre is a historic theater in Washington, D.C. Opened in 1910, it was added to the National Register of Historic Places in 1974.

Best to view in "Original" because other versions resized by PBase are decidedly
unsharp.

The lamp seems to be pointing towards BLM fist. This is composed very well. V

Wow A very attractive old lamp, with a beautiful background subject like this clenched fist, very nicely found and photographed BV

A powerful message with the window dressing - I really like this shot with the lovely old fashioned lamp and such a nice combination of colours. V

A beautiful lamp and it is nearly a repeat of the Black Power Fist behind.

Attractive old lamp post as they were called. Reminds me of the lights they had for Police Stations in old silent movies. V

What a terrific gallery. The artistry in these older lamps is beautiful and some have wonderful details. I enjoyed scrolling through your photos sgain.

It is so much more attractive than the street lighting popular today.
