Godzilla comes to Shaw

We happened to see this giant mural in DC’s Shaw neighborhood and just had to circle back to get a picture of it. It’s a Japanese restaurant named Zeppelin (oddly) and features a wall of Japanese monsters including Godzilla, Mothra and King Kong. There’s also a giant octopus on what appears to be a Tokyo street whose name I don’t know.

Best to view in "Original" because other versions resized by PBase are decidedly
unsharp.

Butterflies at last, posted earlier:

Now I'm hungry for a Godzilla burger and some calamari.

Love the gray tones. It’s perfect for Godzilla and his pals.

such a splendid mural, it contrast very well with the front deck!

A wonderful shot! That is a puzzle, a Japanese restaurant named Zeppelin?
Do I get sauerkraut with my sushi? A fun mural for sure.

This art work is just marvelous, so much fun to salute all the Japanese creature of lore. I like the look that it seems to have been drawn with chalk. V

Not the usual aesthetic for a Japanese restaurant but a fun treatment for a large flat building.

What a fun way to make the setting stand out and attract attention. Wonder if the food lives up the hype.

a smorgasbord of visual treats...the Zeppelin does seem the odd one out, although that famous band were monsters of 70s rock..a knockout image..V
