St. Francis's mockingbird

This mockingbird seemed to have an affinity for St. Francis.

*****

We went back to the Franciscan Monastery in NE Washington because last year there had been lots of butterflies in their garden, and quite frankly, because we couldn’t go anywhere else due to street closures everywhere for protests and other major gardens still being closed on account of the pandemic.

Best to view in "Original" because other versions resized by Pbase are decidedly unsharp.

A gotcha moment, posted earlier:

Marvelous. St Francis looks thrilled to have a little visitor.

How appropriate that the mockingbird should have chosen St. Francis as a perch. Great shot. V

They say St-Francis was able to talk to animals and approach them.
