Comforting Lulah

Another photograph I quite liked in the “Women: A Century of Change” exhibit at National Geographic. The sign accompanying it reads:

“Dorota Ladosz, a sanctuary staff member in South Africa, comforts an orphaned rhinoceros named Lulah that suffered injuries inflicted by hyenas. Brent Stirton, 2016”

Best to view in "Original" because other versions resized by Pbase are decidedly unsharp.

Oh, that is a heartwarming and lovely shot. Poor little creature, so glad though that she is being cared for.

Wow, so thankful that there are people such as Dorota that do that, hopes in humanity at a time when we need it so much. Beautiful shot that tells a story

the cross species interaction is touching....Lulah is surely lucky that she escaped at all..

The dedication of these workers is to be greatly admired. These orphans don't have a great record of survival.
