A more traditional new mosque

Another new mosque in the DQ, next to the police station, in a bit more traditional Saudi style than the one pictured below (although I prefer the modern one to this one).

Best to view in "Original" because other versions resized by Pbase are decidedly unsharp.

*****

When we first moved to the Diplomatic Quarter in 2013, the residents were foreign diplomats, but by the time we left in 2016, a lot of Saudis had started moving in since it’s such a desirable part of the city (although a bit far out). There were only three mosques on the DQ at the time (that we could find), but in order to accommodate the growing Saudi population, at least several more have been built. I believe the goal is to have one mosque within easy walking distance for residents of every neighborhood.

New neighborhood mosque, posted earlier:

Interesting buildings, again. You mention DQ, any churches for diplomats and their families?
