This is the oldest train station in the US and is the terminus of the first 13 miles of commercial railroad ever built in the country. A National Historic Landmark, the station now functions as a museum.
Building materials include bark and gourd palm leaves in the roof and elm bark in the walls.
We went back to the Botanic Garden to find this model, which was hidden under a Christmas tree in a different hall from where the exhibit was located.
