Tacoma’s Union Station is listed on the National Register of Historic Places and is unique in its use as both a federal courthouse and a rental venue for events. The Beaux Arts dome is today highlighted by a 20-foot chandelier created by renowned glass artist Dale Chihuly.
Building materials for the model include willow, seagrape leaves, sisal, salt cedar, birch twigs, cinnamon and cloves.
