Memorial Square, Tashkent

I’m unclear if this is called Memorial or Independence Square, but it was renamed in 1992 from Lenin Square to celebrate Uzbekistan’s independence. This pool, however, does appear to be a memorial.

And this sculpture is so stoic compared to the flying storks in the last photo. Nice plaza here, and an eternal flame is a good add. Like the photo. V
