Formerly People's drugstore, now a condominium

According to several sources, including the woman who in a letter described our neighborhood in the 1930s and ’40s, this building on Lincoln Park was a People’s drug store until the riots of 1968, when it vacated this location. It’s now a condominium.

Must have been a huge drug store or the owner's home was the two floors above the shop. Beautiful design. Vote.

It looks like it was an unusual drug store. Excellent POV to capture it. V

I agree with Gill, it's sort of hard to imagine this as a drug store. It looks like it's always been an apartment house. Nice to see it so well preserved. Great shot too. V

A tall and elegantly styled old building that looks like overkill for a drug store! V

I like the nearly symmetrical presentation and also how it is disrupted somewhat by the foreground trees.

Wow, what a beautiful building! So pleased they reused it. Here a lot of the fine old buildings are gone, replaced by unimaginative construction. V
