Alone

We went in search of birds along the Potomac River, but couldn’t really find too many, although Tim did capture this grebe, fishing and all by itself. Not too sharp, but neither were mine. I really need to learn how to use this lens. It's just so heavy, it's hard to keep steady and even harder to focus on a distant bird.

Beautiful shot of the grebe. I wonder if it is a Clark's Grebe?

Sometimes in photography, the gears are heavy we have to find a compromis. The picture is very nice, V

grebes here seem to spend a lot of time alone too...once in a while do encounter a pair though..
