I retrieved my new D850 from the shop yesterday, where they had calibrated my normally used lens with the camera. It apparently didn’t require much adjustment, but I had been having problems with focus and wanted to eliminate the lens as the cause. I had even considered buying the new VR version of the 24-70mm, but the tech at the store said, “Save yourself the $2,400 [which I can’t afford right now anyway] and spend $69 to calibrate the old one,” so I did.
Anyway, the day was so beautiful I just walked as far as I could on a bad knee around Capitol Hill to test out the camera. I think I’ve photographed all these buildings in years past, but they’re the only subjects I have around here, so am posting some of the test results in my old Capitol Hill gallery.
This is the front of the house pictured below, on East Capitol, the street with some of the most impressive houses on the Hill. I remember photographing it years ago when it was up for sale.
