Sundance is a Harris’s hawk who was purchased from a breeder who hatched and raised him in 2006 for educational shows at Dollywood. Because he started to acquire foot problems, a recurring condition called “bumble foot,” which required several surgeries in the past, he now only does an occasional education program.

Sundance has a very sweet disposition and is a favorite of the staff and volunteers at the American Eagle Foundation.
