A grim reminder

Sunday was the Rolling Thunder parade, which takes place every Memorial Day weekend. Thousands of motorcyclists from around the country ride in the nation’s capital, continuing their 30-year tradition to make sure that the nation’s fallen haven’t been forgotten.

Several people have commented about the wet streets but said it was good it wasn’t raining. Well, the truth is, it was pouring much of the time we were there, and we spent a lot of it under a tree. I didn’t care about me getting soaked, but my camera was another matter. I’m surprised it still works after that ;-).

Reaching out, posted earlier:

An image that words can only partly describe. The cost of freedom has been very high. Let us not forget. Nicely done Helen!! VVV

Every bike should have one for the event - maybe the message might get across. Great catch.

That is different.. Not to sure I would wish to travel over the countryside pulling that behind me.
