National Building Museum

We attended the annual Smithsonian Craft Show over the weekend, held in the National Building Museum, built in 1887 and which used to be known as the Pension Building after the Civil War. It is now an architectural museum and also hosts a presidential ball every four years.

What a different building - the repetitive patterns are so cool ! What strikes me is that I would not have expected the interior as you've captured it. Spectacular architecture !! V

You need to go work for the tourist bureau Helen, offer them a photo description in a book

that's a pretty uncompromising building design from the outside, but from your previous interior we know better

Like the geometry of the building. Nicely composed with the greenery in front. V
