We went to the Baltimore Craft Show on Sunday, one of the biggest in the country. This was a work in progress of an American copper artist who had studied in Gaziantep, Turkey, with a master craftsman. He was impressed that I immediately recognized the origin of his work, but of course I would since we lived in Turkey for eight years. Unfortunately, the finished plates ran as high as $2,500, so I couldn’t buy one, not that I need anything else Turkish anyway.
